JERSEY COMPETITION!
Have you been seen out and about in your camp jersey?
As a thank you to all those that have participated in the camps over the last six years we are offering a competition to win a $200 camp coupon towards any 2010 camp! Our goal is to have fun remembering all the camp faces and to find out exactly where our camp jerseys have travelled. If you have a picture of yourself in one of our camp jerseys that was taken outside of the camp, then please submit the picture via email for entry into our competition. Each entry that is submitted will be posted on our facebook page. The jersey that is deemed to have been modeled in the most interesting place, or standing next to the most interesting person (i.e. the President - although it seems he needs prompt of a helmet rather than a jersey these days) will win a $200 camp coupon towards any 2010 camp.
Send us pictures of yourself in your camp jersey by midnight on December 25th, 2009 and our staff will pick a winner which will be announced on our Facebook page on December 31st, 2009.
We have two pictures to start the bids. Mark Kozlowski from Denver seen here at IM Coeur D'Alene this past June on his way to a sub 11-hour PR and Duane Lodrige and Michelle Faurot from the East coast riding in Jackson Hole just a month ago.
Entries from all different modeling situations can be submitted, within reason of course! If you chose to wear your jersey to do the cleaning or go shopping, or even to the disco then don't hold back, send in the picture for the panel to examine. Photo's need to be emailed to the Camp Director with details of when and where the photo was taken and the year(s) and specific camp(s) you attended.
The winner will be judged on:
- The more unique the situation the better
- The realness of the jersey modeling situation (unless you are superb at photoshop please don't try to out do your alumni friends this way!)
- Race situations certainly get bonus marks
- The lighting, camera angle etc will be taken into account
- High altitude, interesting geographical places and/or the furthest point from Solvang all get good marks
- Other people also seen in the photo also have the possibility of giving you bonus marks (note that they could also lose you marks!!)
A few rules:
- Only Camp Alumni can be part of this jersey competition.
- Photo's need to have been taken outside of the camp week.
- To submit a photo - email it to the Camp Director with the location and date of when the photo was taken and the year(s) and name(s) of the camp which you attended.
- Only official Solvang Triathlon Camp jerseys, Spring Fling Camp jerseys or Spring Fling running tops (from 2005) are acceptable entries.
- Multiple entries by one person are acceptable and encouraged!
- If the winning picture shows two camp alumni athletes wearing the official jerseys, the prize will be split between the two. Three camp alumni athletes and the prize will be split between the three, etc.
- The winning prize of a $200 camp coupon towards a 2010 camp is not transferable to another athlete. The prize must be applied to a 2010 camp and cannot be transferred to another year.
- Entries can be submitted up until midnight California time on December 25. Results will be announced on our facebook account on December 31st, 2009.
